Job Description
We are looking for a Lead Systems Administrator with a Secret Clearance to join our team with experience working in a government contracting environment. This is an on site M-F opportunity.
As the Lead Systems Administrator you will:

Carry out line manager responsibilities for a small team of 1-2 members: perform timesheet validation and approval, conduct annual performance reviews, and report to management.
A week in the life of a Lead Systems Administrator includes:
Engage face to face and virtually with end users on solving a variety of technical challenges
Serve as a key stakeholder for hosting technical events (test, integration, demonstration) at a Government facility
Serve as subject matter expert for MS Active Directory and MS OS (Windows 2012, 2016); develop and maintain MS AD schema and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
Design, install, implement and configure Windows and networking systems in a virtual environment
Identify security and other potential infrastructure risks and work with teammates to eliminate or reduce the risks
Establish and maintain procedural documentation and KB articles and share knowledge through training and mentorship of team members
Job Requirements
U.S. Citizenshipwith a minimum of Secret clearance
Demonstrated leadership skills with a Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II (or higher) certification
5 years of experience in technical leadership, MS systems administration, and working on complex systems and software programs and networks
Serve as a technical thought leader who is committed to discovering engineering solutions and hands-on customer support
Knowledgeable in MS Active Directory, MS servers, and Defense Health Agency medical devices
Familiarity with using security tools such as SCC/SCAP and ACAS in order to identify and address mitigation of security findings
Proven ability to enhance data center operations by identifying and implementing process improvements, including the automation of repetitive tasks.
Proven ability to manage network-connected medical devices, ensuring timely software updates and patches.
Skilled in conducting monthly security scans, applying patches, and performing follow-up actions.
Experienced in coordinating with testers and Systems Engineering personnel to maintain operational technical capabilities.
Adept at collaborating with DHA system administrators to ensure proper configuration and deployment of remotely provided services (e.g., SCCM, Active Directory).

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
