TekSynap Finance Analyst, Senior in Chantilly, Virginia

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

TheFinancial Analystisresponsibleforprovidinga timelyandaccurateoverview ofthefinancialstatus andperformanceof the contract, providing valuableassistanceto the contract program manager and the customer.Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing analyses of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs, and/or the entire program.

  • Capture, tracking, and makingavailable all contract expenditures to allow integration with othercustomercontract expenditures

  • Significant input into the programMonthly Contract Status Report (MCSR)andBi-Weekly Status Reports(BI-WSR)thatprovidea timelyandaccurateoverviewoftechnical, subcontract, schedule, andfinancial performance; staffing; risk/issues; security; and other informationdeemedappropriate

  • Aligning theMCSRto the invoicing period, andcreation of adetailed invoice outlining the supporting informationfor inclusionat the time of electronic submission of the invoice via the Internet Payment Platform (IPP)

  • Ensuring thatthe MCSRexhibitsa simple reconciliation to the invoice, and any differences between the invoice and the MCSRareclearly explained

  • Providingtransparency into the costs associated with tasks and work areasand providingassociated data such that it can easily be integrated intolarger customer costassessments and used for various data call responses

  • Supporting Program Management Reviews (PMRs), addressingfinancial (labor, tools, cloud, etc.) andrelatedcontractual status

  • Providing reports and information requested by TekSynap corporatefinance staff; briefing the financial status of the contract internally to TekSynapmanagement.Assistingresearch and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements.

  • Helpingcoordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues withthe customer and other government entities (auditors, e.g.)to ensureaccurateinterpretation of contract requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currentlypossessan activeTopSecret security clearance

  • Years of experience required with degree:BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * *

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred

  • Knowledge of Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs) and Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Work schedule: “Normal work hours” constitute on average 8 hours a day,40 hoursper week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.

  • Amount of Travel: 20%
