Noblis Cleared Technical Writer (All Levels) in Chantilly, Virginia

Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Cleared Technical Writer (All Levels) is an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph in Chantilly, VA

The Cleared Technical Writer will assist with the writing and editing of cyber analytic materials to include user, installation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) guides, reports, white papers, meeting minutes, and action items. The candidate will work closely with various functional team leads and directly with our clients to assist in developing content for the above documentation providing advanced knowledge of English composition, grammar, and structure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Attend team meetings to capture notes and action items for distribution and posting to the team repository.

  • Work with subject matter experts to develop user guides, SOPs, news letters, strategic artifacts, style guides, reports and white papers for client delivery.

  • Review and tech edit all presentations for style, grammar, punctuation, content, spelling, readability, and clarity.

  • Help identify and develop supporting graphics for product slick sheets.

  • Help maintain repository of latest to archived documentation and materials on team site maintaining version control.

  • Be a self-starter able to accomplish daily tasks independently.

  • Be creative and proactive to the needs of the project.

  • Have experience working directly in a customer setting and able to manage tasks.

  • Top-Secret clearance with Polygraph

Required Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong writing and editing skills.

  • Strict attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to support meetings and work closely and collaboratively with team leaders and members.

  • Analytical problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet short deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment and function productively in the face of new assignments and re-prioritization of existing assignments.

  • Ability to determine the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension.

  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Have a working proficiency in SharePoint, Confluence, and JIRA.

  • Have a working proficiency in using ServiceNow.

  • Ability to develop graphics, flowcharts and diagrams highly desirable.

  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.

  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing technical documents.

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, or related field or equivalent combination of education, technical training.

  • Level 1: Must possess at least 1 years of technical writing & editing experience, preferably within the Federal Government or contracting sphere.

  • Compensation: $58,500 - $102,400

  • Level 2: Must possess at least 3 years of technical writing & editing experience, preferably within the Federal Government or contracting sphere.

  • Compensation: $64,300 - $112,500

  • Level 3: Must possess at least 5 years of technical writing & editing experience, preferably within the Federal Government or contracting sphere.

  • Compensation: $85,600 - $149,800

  • Compensation will vary based on level

  • Active Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range

USD $85,600.00 - USD $149,800.00 /Yr.
