Project Overview:

Large Semiconductor Project for new facility, supports one or multiple Semiconductor Projects with new Fab building design and power system designs.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan, develop, and review electrical engineering design work, produce drawings and documentation, and prepare design estimates for a project. You will coordinate with clients, facilitate technical discussions, and review key electrical drawings, calculations, and bid summaries. You will solve complex technical issues and ensure electrical designs comply with all regulations and standards. #LI-MJ1

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”

Major Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for Electrical design for Semiconductor Fab buildings: One Lines, Power System Analysis, tool set power distribution, physical design of raceway in congested spaces, and estimating total power needs.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to properly identify electrical design requirements, optimizations, and material selections.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system optimization that improve cost, schedule, constructability, operability, and quality.

  • Maintain expert level knowledge of new and coming trends in electrical equipment and material.

  • Provide expertise to project teams from programing phase, LOD300, and through all phases of LOD400/450 project delivery to startup and turnover.

  • Participate, as required, in design and construction reviews, management reviews and proposals.

  • Participate or lead in the assessment of technical issues and contributes experience and expertise in the solution of difficult problems.

  • Participate, when requested, in major project reviews and assist with project technical challenges.

  • Assist with ensuring project quality and off-project technical reviews.

  • Assist with developing proposals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in Semiconductor Industry for new build designs.

  • Deep understanding of electrical power systems, equipment, physical design, material, tool/software, estimates, and project budgets on large scale semiconductor facilities.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical.

  • Demonstrated ability to direct and mentor teams to successful outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Extensive relevant experience and adaptability to support projects for technical advice and resolutions of complex problems for all things related to electrical power systems using ETAP or similar software.

  • Experience with 3D applications like Revit and S3D.

  • Prior experience as SME in Semiconductor Industry preferred.
