One of our top financial services customer continues their migration to cloud environments in Azure. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will sit on the engineering and operations team that own the enterprise Active Directory (on prem), Azure AD and ADFS infrastructure environments. This role will be building infrastructure, managing servers, connections, synchronizations to ensure the technology is stable and secure, and that permissions are granted with least privilege.

There is a variety of project-based work to support existing engineering teams. Some of the work includes heavy documentation - as a lead engineer you are building/configuring/troubleshooting an environment and creating documentation along the way (or sometimes going back and creating documentation of another engineers work in templates). This role may also pitch in on internal audit response work as needed. This engineer needs to have experience building, migrating and configuring on-prem active directory and Azure AD, not just supporting an existing environment.

• Examples of documentation includes processes, procedures, knowledge base articles, change control, security baselines, operational strategy, etc.

• Enterprise environment is pretty important (350k users). Hundreds of thousands if not millions of groups. This person will be domain admin so any mistakes can be HUGE.

• Large backlog of work in JIRA.

REQUIRED:

1) Experience building, migrating and configuring on-prem active directory infrastructure (Domain Admin/Enterprise Admin, Build/Promote/Patch DC, Support Infrastructure)

2) Experience synchronizing connectors and customizing Azure AD setup Azure AD/Entra ID

3) Strong skills in documentation and communication - will be helping create documentation for audit response and building playbooks and knowledge base articles.

3+ Years of Technical writing and documentation in an enterprise environment

7+ years of experience of engineering Active Directory and associated services

2+ years of experience engineering in Azure Active Directory

2+ Years of Agile Experience (Kanban or Scrum)

2+ Years of experience leading BCP and other continuity events

2+ Years of enterprise experience with compliance, audit, and regulatory conditions

Technical writing, Active Directory, IAM, compliance, audit, JIRA, business continuity, Azure AD, ADFS, AD Connect, Recovery Manager for AD, RMAD, SQL Administration, terraform, PowerShell, Radiant Logic VDS, SCOM

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

PowerShell scripting is a big plus. Would help with automation and deployments.
