Wells Fargo Infrastructure Engineer - Mainframe in CHANDLER, Arizona

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology organization and be part of our Chief Technology Office (CTO). Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

You will join our Mainframe & Midrange Services (MMS) team that supports the Foundational Hosting Platform organization within CTO. You will leverage your Mainframe knowledge, System knowledge, and understanding of Communication Server in this role while collaborating with colleagues and managers to resolve issues and make an impact at Wells Fargo.

In this role, you will:

  • Support initiatives that deliver workable end to end infrastructure solutions

  • Participate in test planning and execution

  • Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates

  • Design, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various platforms and our business portfolio

  • Troubleshoot and resolve tickets during implementation of store networks

  • Troubleshoot and resolve first level network and wireless issues

  • Present recommendations for resolving ticket requests, and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of the process, policies and risk controls

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Interact with internal customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with z/OS mainframe system software environment, including Communications Server, Policy Agent, IPSec, zERT, Netview, FTP, sFTP, Telnet, ISPF, JCL, TSO, REXX, and RACF

  • 2+ years of experience, knowledge, and understanding of other mainframe third party products such as TPX, VIP, Virtel and IOC Console Management

  • Experience with tracking, monitoring, and implementing corrective actions or information security exceptions for Operational Risk or a combination of both

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings

Job Expectations:

  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled

  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
