Information Security Intern – Summer 2025
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our Information Security team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in protecting critical infrastructure within the renewable energy sector. The intern will support key projects related to email security, website access control, and identity and access management, contributing to our ongoing efforts to mitigate risks, enhance data protection, and align with the company’s overall cybersecurity strategy.
Date of Internship: May 19th – August 8th
Key Job Responsibilities:
Email Security:
Assist in monitoring and analyzing email security threats, including phishing and spam.
Help in remediating positively identified phishing emails.
Contribute to the development of user training materials on email security best practices.
Website Access Control:
Support the implementation of access control mechanisms for company websites and web applications.
Assist in auditing and reviewing current website access policies and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with Users to ensure compliance and functionality of web security tools.
Identity and Access Management (IAM):
Assist in the management of user accounts, roles, and permissions across various systems.
Support the integration of IAM solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
Participate in IAM audits and report findings to the Information Security Manager.
General Information Security Support:
Assist in monitoring and responding to security incidents.
Contribute to the development of security process playbooks / runbooks.
Contribute to risk assessments and vulnerability management efforts.
Participate in the development and updating of security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with various teams to promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure coding practices.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Familiarity with email security, access control, and IAM concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
This position is located onsite in our Chandler, AZ office.
Relocation is not available for this role.
US Person is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
