Robert Half Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Chandler, Arizona

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Chandler, Arizona, United States. In the Associate Patient Care Coordinator role, you will be instrumental in providing excellent customer service within the healthcare industry. Your primary focus as the Associate Patient Care Coordinator will be on the registration process and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role is based in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of patient registration.

• Collect thorough patient demographic data and maintain accurate records.

• Verify insurance information, eligibility, and benefits for patients.

• Determine and collect patient financial liability.

• Refer patients to the Patient Registration Specialist for financial counseling or clearance if needed.

• Adhere to the organization's policies and procedures to resolve patient financial liability.

• Act as an information source for patients and families, explaining hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and Patient Rights.

• Support workstation operations and adhere to offshore procedures.

• Handle reimbursements and benefit functions in line with policy.

• Uphold patient rights and manage TRICARE and NIS operations.

Requirements • Prior experience in customer service roles, demonstrating an ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals

• Knowledge of medical procedures and policies, ensuring the efficient functioning of the healthcare facility

• Familiarity with insurance processes and liabilities, enabling accurate processing of patient claims

• Proficiency in using workstation support systems for maintaining patient records and other administrative tasks

• Experience with benefit functions and reimbursements, guiding patients through their healthcare benefits and reimbursement procedures

• Understanding of the registration process, including patient demographic data collection and patient registration

• Experience in financial counseling and patient financial services, providing necessary guidance to patients about their financial responsibilities

• Knowledge of TRICARE and NIS healthcare systems, ensuring compliance with these specific healthcare models

• Awareness of patient rights, ensuring that all actions and decisions respect and protect these rights

• Ability to work in an offshore setting, coordinating with remote teams when necessary.
