General Summary

Provides musculoskeletal specialty care and medical to patients.

WellSpan Medical Group (WMG) is seeking anOrthopedic Surgeonto join our established practice in Chambersburg, PA. Individual must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine degree plus completion of a medical residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery and fellowship training in Sports Medicine. He or she must also be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Position Highlights:

• Employed position with WMG

• General orthopedic call of 1:6

• Large referral base of WMG family and internal medicine physicians

• 4 clinic locations throughout the catchment area

• 1 - 2 OR days/week

• Excellent support (APPs and MA)

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or

• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

• Certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Upon Hire Required and

• Completion of an appropriate residency program. Upon Hire Required and

• Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of one or more WellSpan hospitals. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Clinical skills and knowledge of emergency medicine techniques and occupational medicine.

• Teaching skills.
