Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers under a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) model. We provide Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 3 locations across Suffolk County, New York. LISH is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Assistants for our Central Islip, Hauppauge and Riverhead locations. We are seeking positive, energetic, compassionate people to perform a variety of responsibilities for our busy health clinics. Experience with the developmentally disabled population is desired. Bilingual in Spanish & English desirable. Applicant must be able to work Full Time Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm.

General Duties include:

  • Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature respiration) at each appointment

  • Assists health care providers with procedures

  • Assists in Gynecology clinic and prepares Pap slides for lab testing

  • Monitoring and reordering supplies

  • Checking and attending to incoming faxes

  • Cleaning and preparing rooms for the next patient

  • Cleans and preps medical offices, exam rooms, medical equipment

  • Follows up pending lab, x-ray, testing, etc

  • eClinicalWorks experience preferred.

    Benefits

  • The Hourly Pay Rate range for this position is $23.00 - $26.22 based upon relevant experience
