Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers under a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) model. We provide Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 3 locations across Suffolk County, New York. LISH is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Assistants for our Central Islip, Hauppauge and Riverhead locations. We are seeking positive, energetic, compassionate people to perform a variety of responsibilities for our busy health clinics. Experience with the developmentally disabled population is desired. Bilingual in Spanish & English desirable. Applicant must be able to work Full Time Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm.
General Duties include:
Obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature respiration) at each appointment
Assists health care providers with procedures
Assists in Gynecology clinic and prepares Pap slides for lab testing
Monitoring and reordering supplies
Checking and attending to incoming faxes
Cleaning and preparing rooms for the next patient
Cleans and preps medical offices, exam rooms, medical equipment
Follows up pending lab, x-ray, testing, etc
eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
Benefits
The Hourly Pay Rate range for this position is $23.00 - $26.22 based upon relevant experience
