Job Overview & Responsibilities

United Launch Alliance (ULA) seeks a skilled Subcontract Management Specialist to support the Enterprise Procurement Supply Chain team at ULA Corporate Headquarters in Centennial, CO.Responsibilities include:

Oversees critical indirect procurements, frequently integrating the efforts of a number of subcontractors at a project or program level. Facilitate purchasing activities supporting indirect procurement strategies and can include contract types involving transportation, information technology, capital equipment to support the production system or enterprise initiatives. Directs and manages all cost, schedule and technical performance requirements levied on the subcontractor or the product family, ensuring performance in compliance with all technical requirements and contract mileston Assists in development of subcontract specifications, work statements and other technical requirements documents. Serves as a focal point for the subcontractor. Briefs ULA executive management and customers regarding subcontract status and issues affecting subcontract performance or cost; and, conducts and/or supports program reviews with the subcontractor and ULA / Customer program offi Directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make / buy decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, and cost accountability; makes decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor; establishes milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications; and, assists in development of major / complex subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized components and services. Demonstrates and fully utilizes well-developed project management skills. Partners with cross-functional teammates to develop procurement requirements, aligned with the ULA business imperatives, for flow-down to suppliers and potential suppliers.

Required Education Bachelor

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 8 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Microsoft Excel experience with an understanding of advanced functions and pivot tables. Demonstrated proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (SAP preferred). Experience withSupply Chain, Procurement and/or Business Experience with purchasing policies and procedures. Experience with complex, high dollar procurements. Experience with reporting program status out to management and executive leadership and managing priorities across multiple internal and external business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain from an accredited colle e or university. Experience developing and implementing acquisition agreement strategies for complex subcontracts. Excellent analytical, numerical and financial management skills. Strong project management skills. Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $139,911.00 - $218,540.00
