How you make a difference

ThePost Doctoral Psychology Residentcompletes psychological assessments (which may include competency evaluations, malingering assessments, and risk assessments), provides individual and group treatment, and is an active member of the treatment team who provides employee education as needed on psychological issues. May also be assigned responsibilities for developing, monitoring and implementing treatment plans and behavioral management plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group treatment, including competency restoration sessions, psycho-educational groups, therapy groups, and counseling.

  • Conducts psychological assessments such as competency, risk, and malingering assessments.

  • Writes court reports and may provide expert testimony, while developing, monitoring, and implementing treatment and behavioral management plans.

  • Serves as a consultant to multidisciplinary teams and assists in training psychology interns and clinical staff.

  • Completes thorough documentation of services and ensures assessments and treatment are age-appropriate and culturally competent.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Required: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited university with dissertation completed.

Experience

  • Required: One (1) year psychology internship completed.

  • Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
