CTL|Thompson, Inc. IT Help Desk Technician in Centennial, Colorado

CTL|Thompson, Inc. is seeking a qualified IT Help Desk Technician for full-time employment with our Centennial, CO office. The IT Help Desk Technician is the main point of contact between a customer and the information technology (IT) department. Their main duties include answering customers’ questions via email or phone calls, helping customers set up their computer systems and diagnosing customers’ computer issues and logging all issues via ticketing platform.

IT Help Desk Technicians are paid between $20.00 and $28.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon the individual’s experience and qualifications. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages Help Desk Ticketing System and escalates when necessary.

  • Ensures documentation is up to date for all users.

  • First point of contact on all Help Desk tickets.

  • Handle all Tier 1 Help Desk tickets and escalates and assigns when required.

  • Ensures that all documentation for end users is up to date.

  • Meets SLA on all tickets and ensures no outstanding tickets exist.

  • Assists in large scale IT Projects.

  • Ensure quick response to all Help Desk tickets in ticketing system.

  • Delegate tickets if unable to assist users.

  • Onboard new users into all CTL|Thompson systems.

  • Load up devices for all new users and replacement devices following company policies.

  • Ensure all Help Desk tickets are being handled in SLA.

  • Clean up and maintain Active Directory Devices, Users, Ticketing System devices, and licensing.

  • Assist with large scale IT Projects where necessary.

  • Provide exemplary customer service in the performance of the role.

  • Additional responsibilities as required in the performance of the job.

    Required skills and qualifications:

  • Proven success in an IT role.

  • Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, network configuration, IT security, database applications, Deltek Vantagepoint, and other applications used by the firm.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Ability to learn independently.

    Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree (or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred) in information technology or computer science.

  • Knowledge of Windows systems administration.

  • Professional certifications related to Microsoft products and networking a plus.

  • Vehicle and ability to travel to perform job duties and necessary.

    Work Environment:

    Regular work with computers in the office, some required work on ladders, in ceilings and crawling around on floors.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.

  • Able to travel as needed.

  • Satisfactory completion of a drug test from a laboratory certified by Colorado and chosen (and paid for) by CTL|Thompson, Inc. The laboratory will collect and test the drug test samples, for which the required notice will be included with any employment offer and for which the required consent forms will be provided by the laboratory.

  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the company automobile insurance policy guidelines.
