The Sr. Financial Accounting Analyst will provide accounting and business support for the Disney Vacation Club Condominium Associations from both a financial reporting and budget development aspect. We are seeking a finance professional who will develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Ideal candidates will possess experience in financial statement preparation and presentation (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow) with a background in conforming with GAAP.
What You Will Do
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and analyzes financial results
Ensures the annual operating forecast for each Association aligns with changes in the business and influences partners to ensure alignment with budget guidelines
Supports workstreams on behalf of all the Associations that could include property taxes, insurance, bank transfers and regulatory compliance
Prepares financial statements and develops variance explanations for presentation to executive leaders
Consolidates the annual dues budget for multiple Associations
Recommends and implements process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of relevant experience in accounting
Proficient in all aspects of accounting principles and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with financial regulations
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong advanced Excel modeling skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data and ensure accuracy
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Proven ability to perform ad hoc analysis in a fast-paced dynamic environment and ability to work with a sense of urgency and curiosity
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent team player with solid interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in providing financial support within the Timeshare industry
Working knowledge of SAP, Longview and Power BI
Experience with Fund Accounting
Certified Public Accountant
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
