Radiology Tech PRN - AdventHealth Medical Group - AHMG Urologic Oncology at Celebration

Schedule : PRN

Shift : Days/Shifts needed: Monday - 7:30am - 2:30pm / Tuesday 7am - 3:30pm / Friday 7:30am - 1pm

Location : Celebration

The community you’ll be caring for:

• More than 800 physicians, 450 advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services.

• AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.

The role you’ll contribute: The Radiology Technologist under the direction of the Office manager/Clinical Supervisor performs radiologic procedures as ordered by the physician. Assists the physician during casting, treatment and examination of the patient.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• In office cystograms, working with the clinical team, and tracking and managing cystogram supplies

• Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

• Uses a gonadal shielding, when possible, for all patients of childbearing age and all pediatric patients.

• Develops and processes radiology film.

• Logs radiology procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork. Types and files report as requested.

• Maintains darkroom and x-ray room in a clean and orderly manner. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.

• Verifies correct charges on charge slip for x-rays, treatments and procedures

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Graduate of a recognized Radiology Technology program

• State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license

• American Registry of Radiology Technologists certification

• Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of medical office experience preferred

• Ultrasound experience/certification
