Kemps LLC a subsidairy of Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in the Cedarburg Milk Plant to manage and maintain the customer level inventory forecasts and replenishment orders used for automated customer ordering. Ensure that the customer has sufficient stock on hand to meet consumer demands and minimize inventory shrink. Ensure that all daily and periodic transactions are entered and maintained on a timely and accurate basis.

This position works remotely AND in the Cedarburg office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer replenishment orders accurately reflect the customer's true demand. Troubleshoot problems and answer customer inquiries as they arise. Examples include out-of-stocks, over-stocks, out-of-codes, product availability, and quantity discrepancies between load-out and delivery.

  • Manage the CPFR forecasting tools to account for activities and variations such as changes in demand, promotions, holidays, seasonal fluctuations, and special events.

  • Perform accurate data entry of verbal and written orders, verifying content, calculating hash totals, and ensuring completion of required call sheets. Process all documents related to billing of these orders, including credits and delivery confirms.

  • Work closely with both internal and external customers to investigate and resolve discrepancies in the order-to-cash process. Utilizing excellent communication skills, develop mutually beneficial solutions that positively impact the customer and Kemps. Recap and report all customer service issues to supervisor.

  • Assist the Senior CPFR Planner with innovative problem solving and process changes.

  • Perform other duties/projects as apparent or assigned.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Note: over 75% of work flow and task responsibilities are performed in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of automated inventory replenishment systems and processes

  • Ability to retain confidential information

  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to learn from and work with the CPFR Planning Team

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 3-4 years of experience in customer service or retail grocery experience
