Endocrinology -- Cedar Springs, MI -- PA/NP

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time, board eligible/board certified, Endocrinology Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner) with service to our Cedar Springs location. This role will include management of diabetes and other endocrine disorders in adult patients. High caliber, quality focused, innovative providers should apply to join our employed team to expand and provide care to local communities.

Candidate will also need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Experience: Endocrinology experience/ Diabetes Education and management

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:  

  • Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
  • UMHW uses a team-based approach to health care and APP's are critical members of the team
  • The focus of this position is to provide high-quality care directly to patients primarily outpatient
  • Performs comprehensive evaluation and examination
  • Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to prescribing diabetes medications, managing insulin pumps, interpreting continuous glucose monitors, providing patient education on glucometer, insulin use
  • Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests
