Solution Strategist - Educational Data and Technology Job Description
We are seeking an innovative Solution Strategist to work closely with our Chief Data Officer in driving data-informed decisions across our educational district. This role will focus on aligning department initiatives, developing data stories, and influencing executive decisions through strategic data analysis and technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Chief Data Officer to develop and present data-driven suggestions to the executive cabinet
Align cross-functional departments with organizational objectives using KPIs and OKRs
Create compelling data stories using Tableau to influence decision-making and reduce bias
Work with executive leadership to set and track KPIs, initiatives, and tasks that drive organizational goals
Develop and implement cross-functional surveys to gather insights and feedback
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to guide automated solution creation
Collect and analyze various data sources, including surveys and feedback, to inform strategic decisions
Liaise with the communication department to develop engaging, empowering, and equipping messaging
Continuously improve processes and collaboration across the district
Prioritize initiatives based on impact and effort, making strategic recommendations
Create and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations using SQL queries
Stay current with AI and generative AI technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance student achievement, staff productivity, and district efficiencies
Quickly learn and evaluate new technologies to guide the district's strategic technology roadmap
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of experience in a strategic solution/product management with data analysis role
Software Engineer or/and Product Owner/Manager background
Strong understanding of KPIs, OKRs, and strategic alignment methodologies
Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Tableau
Experience with SQL for data analysis and dashboard creation
Understanding of AI and generative AI technologies and their potential applications in education
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
Experience in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder management
Strong project management skills, including prioritization and resource allocation
Technical Skills
Advanced Tableau skills for creating impactful data visualizations
SQL proficiency for data analysis and creating Tableau (or other tool) data sources
Familiarity with survey design and analysis tools
Understanding of data privacy and security in educational contexts
Basic understanding of software development processes
Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Jira
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the education sector or with educational technology but not required
Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
Familiarity with product ownership concepts and practices
Experience with change management in large organizations

Report To Chief Data Officer
Salary: $90-$105K plus great benefits
