Job Description SummaryGlobal Technology Services (GTS) provides IT infrastructure and application support services to the Aegon businesses. GTS is responsible for the provision, support and ongoing maintenance of IT operating platforms, applications, and services. There is also a strong connection with external providers necessitating vendor and service provider management. GTS is responsible for driving the technology strategy and providing IT infrastructure solutions that are in alignment with business objectives and the GTS technology strategy.

GTS Cloud Services and Automation designs, builds, supports, and enables business use of a Cloud environment which combines services from public Cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.Job Description

The ideal candidate:

  • Is self-driven and motivated by the idea of continuous learning, experimentation and improvement

  • Has a strong sense of engineering craftsmanship and takes pride in what they build

  • Cloud developer with a DevOps mindset: both developing and improving the service(s) and maintaining it from an Ops perspective.

  • T-shaped with a flexible curiosity for technology, mindset and learning.

  • Not limited to: AWS (including serverless / cloudnative design), API, Python, Terraform, Containers, CICD, CloudFormation


  • Develop, Deploy and Support Cloud Infrastructure, as code artifacts or modules

  • Support and deliver using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines

  • Design and Support resiliency and scalability using AWS and other cloud platforms

  • Enable systems with automated monitoring and alerting

  • Support Technology stack refresh on Systems (end-to-end) when required

  • Ensure security is built into each technology stack

  • Develop, maintain, and manage IAM roles and permissions across the enterprise

  • Manage the AWS organization, SCP’s, OU Structure, etc

  • Responsible for supporting business partner requests within requested SLA’s


  • Four-year Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 3 or more years of experience including 2 years of experience in supporting enterprise cloud environment

  • At least 2 years of experience with Agile development and planning methodologies

  • Proficient in developing IAM policy code

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in roles with a strong focus on security, including automated alerting and response

  • Demonstrate an understanding of API’s and API Security

  • Demonstrated ability in automation using code

  • Certifications in relevant technologies, methods, or platforms

  • Demonstrate the key critical behaviors of commitment to task, communication, customer focus, decision making/problem solving, tolerance of ambiguity, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting

The salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000 - $135,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.

Bonus Eligibility:

This position is also typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 12.5%.
