Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager for Air Combat Test and Training portfolio within our Simulation and Training Solutions business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in US Department of Defense (DoD) and military services training applications specific to Air Combat Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Training. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, incubating, pursuing, and capturing TCTSII training opportunities for US Navy platforms. The position will require interfacing with key US Navy stakeholders (US Navy Training ranges, NAVAIR, NAWDC, CNAF, PMA-205, N98) as well as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD program requirements, Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes, and be comfortable interacting with DoD subject matter experts in all areas of the acquisition process.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will work with a team (cross-functional and cross-enterprise) of business development and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business in our Air Combat Test and Training business portfolio
Day to day activity includes responsibility for developing, forecasting, and capturing new air combat training opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers
Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities
Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis
Develops and maintains customer insight for early identification and shaping of customer requirements and our internal investment and strategies
Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
Active U.S. government issued Secret level security clearance is required
Direct experience working in the US Navy/US Marine Corp
Direct experience working with system OEMs, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, and Raytheon
Position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA however candidate can work 100% Remote
Travel up to 35% may be required
Qualifications We Prefer
F-35 or F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, E/A-18G fighter pilot
Strike Fighter Weapons School or TOPGUN graduate
Experience in developing strike fighter tactics, mission planning, strike intelligence and air-launched weapons handling, and loading and mission employment
Experience in blending live, virtual, and constructive mission training
Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is desired

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
