Summary:
Provides support to the district’s teacher librarians and media secretaries in the management of the school library database.
Endorsements:
School Teacher Librarian K-8, 5-12, or K-12
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 5 years working as a librarian
A minimum of 1 year of CRCSD librarian experience.
Duties:
Assigns new media specialists usernames and passwords
Instructs new media specialists on how to use the school library database
Attends online vendor training on updates to school library database and then provides instruction to media specialists and media secretaries on the updates
Establishes a cataloging standard for the school library database and instructs media specialists on the standard
Coordinates with the Library Content Lead on interlibrary loan policies and procedures
Assists content lead and Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology on running reports from school library database
Works with IT department on the integration of patrons from student information system to school library database
Works with Curriculum and Instruction Department on maintaining curriculum resources within school library database
Works with Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology to evaluate yearly license for school library database and ensure the fee is paid on time
Term: 12 month, short-term contract
Compensation: $2,000 stipend
