The successful candidate will be a member of a global server team that supports over 10,000 Windows and Linux/Unix servers worldwide both on premises and in public cloud. The role is specifically responsible for supporting and maintaining the Linux and UNIX environments.Job Description
What You Will Do:
Perform troubleshooting and incident and problem management and meet Aegon’s service level objectives
Maintain software applications, operating systems, firmware and hardware through regular maintenance to keep the estate secure and vulnerability free
Perform configuration and server installations to the specifications as laid out by Leads and Top techs
Perform monitoring tasks to pro-actively review and maintain the Linux server estate and where possible develop automation tasks to improve organizational efficiencies
Support assigned projects and install and implement in accordance to project objectives and design standards
What You Will Need:
Qualifications
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Red Hat experience essential with Amazon Linux and IBM AIX experience preferred
Experience of relevant automation tools
Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite manner, both written and verbal
Ability to work well with others, as well as independently
Attention to detail
Excellent working knowledge of up-to-date server applications
Preferred
ITIL foundation
AWS experience
VMware knowledge
SUSE, Solaris, or IBM iOS would be an advantage
Incident and problem management skills
Strong documentation standards
Project delivery skills working in small to medium sized projects

Compensation:
The salary for this position generally ranges between $64,400 - $88,550. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 10%.
Working Conditions
Based at Office or Home, need the flexibility to work close with colleagues within the team, distributed services and other areas of GTS
Be available during core working hours. Participation in on call rota and off hours overtime is expected
Need to have a global outlook to work and be able to work across Aegon’s global footprint
