Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Cedar Park, Texas

Job Description:

This established and long running industrial plant located in Cedar Park, TX, is looking for a maintenance mechanic/technician to join their team. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on trailer units to Company and DOT standards with minimal supervision as part of a team in a fast paced environment. You will maintain batch plant equipment, conveyor systems and machinery with minimal supervision, as part of a team in a family-oriented environment. Seeking someone that has:

  • Mechanical experience (diesel is a plus)

  • 1-2 years doing PMs and troubleshooting hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems

  • Problem Solving/Analysis skills

  • Technical Capacity

Hiring for FIRST SHIFT

Pay:

$20 - $35/hr based on interview, skills, and experience

*Eligible for pay raise after 90 day review AND again after 6 months*

Shift:

6:30am - 4:00pm M - F

Essential Functions:

  • To maintain batch plant equipment, conveyor systems and machinery with minimal supervision, as part of a team in a fast paced environment

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain conveyor systems, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, concrete mixers, and various other equipment using hand tools and power tools

  • Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem

  • Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair

  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous

  • Use of basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, hand tools, etc.

  • Understand and exercise the required safety precautions necessary to complete the job

  • Complete the assigned task in a timely and professional manner

  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules

  • Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V on industrial and diesel equipment

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/overhaul/repair diesel engines

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose repair hydraulic boom cranes

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair overhead cranes

  • Repair/Maintain heavy equipment, including heavy trucks and large truck trailers

  • Repair/maintain heavy equipment, including trucks and large truck trailer

  • Electrical troubleshooting up to 480V on industrial and diesel equipment

  • Must have strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience

  • Trade school certification strongly preferred
