Job Title: Field Engineer

Job Description

• Schedule and conduct construction site visits for active water utility projects

• Perform observation and inspection services, ensuring compliance with the standards

• Act as a liaison between Engineering and Finance Divisions

• Submit digital reports as per Engineering Division requirements

• Review contractor submissions for conformance with standards

• Coordinate service connections with Operations Division

• Observe water service line installations and related construction activities

• Schedule and witness disinfection and pressure testing procedures

• Track and report unauthorized water usage at project sites

• GPS newly constructed water assets using their equipment

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field

• Minimum 1 year of engineering experience

• Utilities experience or desire to get into wastewater

Projects Include:

• Water main pipe installations

• Hydrant placements and maintenance

• Various water-related projects throughout Morris County
