The Installation and Shop Manager at Martin Bros Distributing will take on a pivotal leadership role, overseeing all aspects of customer installations, solutions shop operations, and warehouse management. This dynamic position involves managing a skilled team responsible for executing installations, performing equipment repairs and refurbishments, and handling emergency dispatch situations. The manager will also oversee the daily operations of both the shop and warehouse, ensuring smooth processes for equipment and parts ordering, receiving, and inventory management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively coordinate multiple facets of the business, maintain high service standards, and drive operational efficiency to support Martin Bros.
Expectations:
Installations Services Management exceeding customer expectations with 100% efficiency.
Equipment surveys are complete and with all required information while confirming product throughput aligns with requested equipment/lease rates.
Collaborate with the Director of Solutions and Shop Coordinator on equipment inventory needs including priority use of refurbished equipment.
Schedule installations, stage or ship equipment, confirm completed leases and coordinate communication between customers, sales, installers, and third parties
Manage equipment installation at customer locations, focusing on quality, efficiency, and legendary customer service.
Shop and warehouse management, overseeing the day-to-day operations and inventory.
Maintain effective communication with Solutions Leadership and other Martin Bros departments
Inventory accuracy of all equipment and parts
Oversee repair parts operations, including parts ordering, receiving, shipping, and communication keeping inventory levels balanced
Ensure all inbound and outbound deliveries are 100% accurate and timely, following proper procedures and communications
Team development and performance management for 100% effectiveness & improvement.
Hire, train, coach, and mentor team members to improve installation and warehouse management skills
Hold self and team accountable for results and continuous improvement
Cross-train team to be able to assist in all aspects of equipment repair and shop operations.
Conduct performance reviews annually for all direct reports with the support and guidance from the Director of Solutions.
Job Duties:
Ensure equipment placements meet company guidelines for customer type and purchases (proper throughput)
Perform quality checks on all refurbished equipment, and coach for improvement.
Ensure service calls are answered in a timely matter and dispatched accordingly and follow up with the customer, logging the customer feedback.
Coordinate the staging, loading, and shipping of equipment for installations to ensure 100% accuracy of needs.
Participate in installation of equipment at customer locations when needed.
Lead and manage installers, shop techs and coordinator in professional manner following company guidelines.
Maintain accurate inventory to include monthly cycle counts of equipment and parts.
Cross-train technicians on all solutions products and services.
Responsible for executing all established protocols for record keeping and documentation of all activities associated with the performance of these duties.
Complete and promptly distribute all forms (lease contract, invoices, etc.).
Responsible for proper care and treatment of all company property (tools, vehicles, equipment) according to company guidelines and procedures.
Assign all installations to maximize efficiencies and customer expectations.
Assist with equipment repairs as needed and ensure success of the team.
Respond to weekend installation and/or service calls as necessary.
Maintain possession of cell phone during work hours and for weekend calls.
Utilize company systems specific to Solutions activities.
Communicate with Director on any problems and/or concerns.
Accept new projects and responsibilities as assigned by Director.
Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. employees.
Read periodicals and suggest and positive changes for Martin Bros.
Maintain a professional appearance according to company guidelines.
Read and follow company policy.
Follow all safety rules and requirements the equipment requires.
