**Escalante Valley Elementary School is seeking a Part Time Speech Paraprofessional to work 16.5 Hours per week. *This position will remain open until filled. *

**

The Part Time Speech Paraprofessional works under the direction of the Principal and Speech and Language Pathologist  to support the identification of students with communication disabilities; planning and implementing appropriate treatment plans to minimize adverse impact on student successCreates and manages timelines to meet compliance requirements

• *Conduct speech-language screenings (without interpretation) following specified screening protocols developed by the supervisor. *

• *Provide speech-language services to students, who, by the specific nature of the therapeutic services required, are not in need of full-time monitoring of performance by a certified SLP. *

• *Implement documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervisor. *

• *Document student performance and progress toward meeting established goals and objectives or benchmarks and reporting the information to the supervisor. *

• Assisting with documentation, material preparation and other duties as directed by the supervisor.

• *Scheduling activities, preparing charts/records/graphs, entering information into record keeping program, and performing checks and maintenance of equipment. *

• *Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the Speech therapist and classroom teachers. *

• *Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for the students and monitor their progress. *

• *Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities. *

• *Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, social workers, occupational and physical therapists. *

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required

• Support students with emotional or behavior concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills.

• Mu st have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
