Schneider Electric QA Engineer in Cavite, Philippines
The primary objective of this function is to ensure that APC by Schneider Electric products meet the quality requirements of our customers.
Internal – Customer Satisfaction and Quality Manager, ME, TE, AI Supervisor, Qualifications Engineering, Purchasing & Warehouse Team, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations Team Leader, Manufacturing Operations Manager
External – Quality representatives from various APC Suppliers, APC product Management group, design teams, Field Service Engineers, Japan Quality Assurance and Platform Teams and Customers.
Leads the manufacturing team in formulating and implementing proactive and preventive quality measures to ensure products are conforming to customer requirements.
Leads the manufacturing support cross functional team (ME, PE, Mfg, AI, TE) in analyzing and conducting Failure Analysis, and formulating containment and corrective action reports for all customer complaints.
Communicates customer claim corrective action reports with various Product Management groups and Customers on a regular and timely basis until closure of issue(s).
Reviews daily Out of the Box inspection (OOB) results and In Process audit results and leads the manufacturing team in the Corrective Action formulation whenever nonconformities are found.
Reviews weekly quality summary report and leads Weekly Quality meeting with manufacturing and other support team.
Prepares Monthly and Quarterly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Report and conducts quarterly manufacturing cell audit.
Issues and monitors NCR in production line and ensures proper escalation process is working.
Implements existing Quality Control (QC) Procedures. (i.e. Torque, Escalation, Hi-pot, CPAR, In process & testing, In process inspection, OOB inspection, First Article Inspection and others).
Leads the Process Control Plan (PCP) of cross functional team in every factory in formulating, reviewing and implementing Process Control Plans on all new product introductions.
Ensures that all machines and equipment used in OOB bench and other inspection area are in good operational conditions.
Evaluates effectiveness of all corrective actions in the line and monitoring consistency of implementation.
Leads subordinates and other Mfg. Team in creating Continuous Improvement Projects.
Prepares and communicates strategic short and long-term goals for In Process Quality Audit (IPQA) and Out of Box Technicians.
Plans/ arranges Weekly schedule for IPQA inspector. Includes updating of Kronos Timekeeping records.
Conducts daily and weekly directional communication meetings with the IPQA Team and heads the regular (monthly and annual) performance review for each individual team member (IPQA).
Analyze manpower requirement vis-à-vis amount of workload.
Oversees and coaches subordinates to perform at their optimum level. Trains the on all QC/QA related skills and knowledge.
Coaches and counsels Operators, Continuous Improvement Leaders, QA Technicians whose quality performance falls below agreed standards.
Trains new employees on matters related to quality standards.
- Male or female must be a graduate of Engineering course or equivalent years of industry related experience and acquired trainings.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in high volume SMT/ PCBA manufacturing of any electronics company in the same capacity or related field.
Must be knowledgeable in various QC tools and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Must have knowledge in international standards, like ANSI, JIS, MILITARY, ASTM, UL, CSA.
Knowledgeable in SPC, FMEA and Process Control Plan implementation.
Adept in Basic Six Sigma, yet knowledgeable on Advance Six Sigma.
Good numerical skills/ understanding of statistics

Good in using computer software/ applications
