AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Hong Kong Solutions Architecture team, and it could be you!

As a Solutions Architect, you’ll work directly with companies to drive the technology behind their key business outcomes. Solutions Architects help shape the technology decisions of our customers by guiding them in best practices, becoming a trusted technical advisor, advocating for the customer’s needs internally and through thought leadership in the industry via content creation and presentation delivery. You will own the technical engagement and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

Key job responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to provide them with technical advocacy as they build their products in the cloud.

• Own technical relationships with customer's teams to influence cloud technology adoption.

• Support customer's technical leaders crafting cloud platform roadmaps, skill enablement roadmap, mobilizing AWS resources to support their teams operation and business expansion.

• Develop technical content like webinar, blog, opensource code, whitepaper to impact larger technical audience

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

• 2+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers

• Experience working within brokerage, hedge fund, asset management or exchange business domain.

• Experience working with one of the technical domain i.e. data analytics , parallel computing.
