Greene County Family Planning Job Announcement:FAMILY PLANNING CLINIC NURSE PRACTITIONERHourly: $51.25 - $55.67 (determined pursuant to verifiable nursing experience) Full-TimeSIGNING BONUS: $2,500.00 SIGNING BONUS WITH HALF PAID ($1,250.00) AFTER 6 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT AND THE SECOND HALF PAID ($1,250.00) AFTER ONE FULL YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT.This is a full-time, provisional appointment. Permanent appointment is contingent upon Civil Service Training and Experience examination (evaluation of education and paid work experience, not a written exam).THIS POSITION IS A DAY SHIFT (NIGHTS NOT REQUIRED) AND DOES NOT REQUIRE ON-CALL SHIFTS OR WEEKEND SHIFTSGREENE COUNTY FAMILY PLANNING IS A NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE CORPS SITE, WHERE CANDIDATES MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR LOAN FORGIVENESS AND LOAN REPAYMENT OPTIONS! https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/The incumbent in this position will be covered by the New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS).The incumbent works in the Family Planning Clinic and plays a vital role in providing comprehensive and specialized healthcare services to patients of all gender identities seeking information and or treatment for family planning, sexually transmitted infections (STI’S), and opioid use disorder. The employee functions as a clinical expert to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients. The incumbent acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the health care of clinic patients. Work is performed under the general direction of the Family Planning Clinic Administrator and/or Clinic Manager. Does related work as required.FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Thorough knowledge of the policies, practices, and procedures involved in family planning; Thorough knowledge of medical principles and practices as they relate to the role of Nurse Practitioner; Excellent knowledge and skills in providing women’s reproductive health care; Ability to maintain records and make oral and written reports; Good powers of observation; Mental alertness; Tact; Courtesy; Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Possession of a Master’s degree which prepares registered professional nurses to provide primary health care services. NOTE: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/US Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency.
