The Field Service Technician is responsible for on-site field visits to supervise the installation of equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems, and ensuring all new or modified installations meet industry and company standards. This role involves extensive customer interaction, equipment troubleshooting, and coordination with various departments to expedite repairs. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and offers a competitive hourly rate plus a per diem for field work. NOTE: This job requires 70% Travel and about 10hrs a week of OT. Responsibilities

• Responsible for on-site field visits to supervise the installation of equipment.

• Investigate and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment and perform routine repairs.

• Partner with customers to ensure excellent communication and service.

• Ensure all new or modified installations of equipment meet industry standards, company standards, and customer specifications.

• Review performance reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning or damaged equipment.

• Analyze inspection reports to determine source of problem and make recommendations for repair, replacement, or other corrective action.

• Coordinate problem resolutions with Field Service, Engineering, and other inter-company departments.

• Maintain records of reports and submit them to the Field Service Manager and the Quality Department.

• Provide recommendations to inter-company departments on recurring equipment problems to instigate corrective action.

• Assist the Field Service Manager in providing customer service to inquiries regarding equipment.

• Troubleshoot, dismantle, and reassemble machines and equipment according to specifications.

• Align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble a system of gears including drive motors and fan shafts alignment.

• Conduct preventative maintenance at customer facilities.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
