Here at Grundfos, we are in search of an enthusiastic and driven Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our Manufacturing plant in Sunderland.

As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for a diverse range of products and solutions, supporting production, and testing to produce high-quality products following the required standards. You will be part of a dynamic, team-oriented environment and be motivated to make positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical design support for sales, production, and project engineering functions.

• Review and generate control panel drawings, and supporting documentation within our manufacturing systems.

• Test, develop, and release our products through our product development process.

• Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to our internal and external customers for control panels, electrical installations, and systems.

• Support the mechanical CAD design team to produce production layout drawings.

Reporting and Relationships:

As the Junior Electrical Design Engineer, you will report to the Senior Electrical Engineer and have daily interaction with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams. Your work will also require interacting frequently with the Sales team for updates on projects, the area Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Project fulfilment manager.

Your Background

• Qualification in an electrical engineering discipline- HND, HNC, Batchelors Degree or similar

• Experience with a leading electrical design CAD package is desirable for the ability to create electrical schematics – Eplan Electric P8 is advantageous.

• Previous experience using MRP/SAP manufacturing software systems is desirable, but not essential.

Competencies

The suitable candidate will be detail-oriented with effective communication skills. You will have a proactive approach, a positive "can-do" attitude, and comprehensive IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
