Robert Half Payroll Manager in Castle Rock, Colorado
Description We are in search of a diligent Payroll Manager to join our team in the construction industry, situated in Castle Rock, Colorado. As a Payroll Manager, you will be tasked with managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring compliance with various payroll laws and regulations, and working closely with other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and filings within the stipulated deadlines.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve any payroll-related issues.
• Conduct payroll audits and rectify discrepancies promptly.
• Implement and maintain payroll systems and processes, constantly seeking opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment by providing guidance and support to the payroll team.
• Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s payroll practices are up-to-date and compliant.
• Assist in the integration of payroll systems and processes for newly incorporated companies. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll management role
• Proficiency in 401k - RRSP Administration is required
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of Benefit Functions
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista software is necessary
• Certification in payroll management is highly desired
• Experience in payroll management, specifically with unions, is a must
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
