General Purpose and Scope As a Network Management Systems (NMS) Analyst at Commnet, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our telecommunications network. Your work will directly impact our mission to provide reliable communication services to underserved communities in the rural Southwest. This Network Operations support role requires a service-oriented mentality with a high sense of ownership of the incidents, problems, and requests. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively. Additionally, strong communication and collaborations skills to work with cross-functional teams and to address the unique needs of rural communities are critical to this role.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to) 1. Manage the performance, security, and reliability of our network using various network management tools. Analyze network data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement. 2. Administration of Privileged Access Management applications for access to network elements, to include user management, adding network elements, updating credentials, and AutoIT script creation and maintenance. 3. Identify and resolve network-related issues, such as downtime, performance degradation, or security breaches, with a strong focus on providing uninterrupted services to rural customers. 4. Configure, optimize, and maintain network management systems to meet the specific needs of rural communities while ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to industry best practices. 5. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident reports for future reference, compliance, and regulatory requirements. 6. Plan and execute network system upgrades, including software and hardware components, with a focus on maintaining network stability and performance, particularly in remote locations.

Required Qualifications: * 3+ years previous Linux System Administration (i.e., Red Hat Enterprise, CentOS, Ubuntu) * Experience with network monitoring systems (i.e., Oracle Unified Assurance, NNMi, PRTG) * Experience reading and configuring Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) traps, REST APIs, MIBs, and OIDs * Proficiency in scripting programs (i.e., Perl, Linux BASH shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, AutoIT) * Database experience (i.e., MySQL, PostgresDB, InfluxDB) * Proven experience in network management with a strong understanding of telecommunications technologies and protocols.

Desired Qualifications: * Windows Server Administration experience * Experience with PAM systems (i.e., Delinea Secret Server, Nokia NetGuard IAM) * Experience with centralized log management, including back-end administration. * Experience managing multi-zone DNS (i.e., BIND) * Experience with container management systems (i.e., Docker and Kubernetes) * Familiarity with data analytics tools (i.e., Kibana, Elasticsearch, Grafana) * Familiarity with programming/markup language (i.e., Python, HTML)
