Eurofins Laboratory Technician in Cary, North Carolina

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general testing following written procedures, capable of maintaining lab equipment based on written procedures, and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.
Various support tasks through the department assigned on an as-needed basis.
Limited sample preparation, glassware cleaning, sample disposal and cleaning.
Routine use of computer applications, primarily Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel)
LabWare Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Moderate use of basic lab equipment (i.e., balances, stir plates, hotplates, baths, etc.) and instrumentation (i.e., meters, spectrophotometers, balances, etc
Some travel will be required to collect the sample from client office
Required: High School diploma (Preferred: Associates)
Experience: High School: 5+ years; AA: 3+ years
Additional instrument training is preferred due to the high degree of sophistication of methods and equipment.
Knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements is desired (e.g., 21 CFR Part 210 / 211, 820, etc.)
Operates in accordance with the lab’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), applicable good laboratory practices (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.
Comfortable for 35% travel within 3 hours for sample collection from client office.
Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
