Laboratory Test Engineer

We have an opening for a Laboratory Test Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and validate testing systems and fixtures.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of testing systems through Uncertainty Measurements.
  • Provide Technical Consulting to a staff of Laboratory Technicians.
  • Conduct inspection of electronic components using Optical Microscopes and Scanning Electron Microscopes.
  • Perform Elemental Analysis using Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS).
  • Perform X-ray and CT analysis and inspection.
  • Prepare and review test reports.
  • Develop and apply Failure Analysis skills to determine failure modes and if possible, root causes of suspect electronic components.
  • Uphold the requirements and principles of ISO-17025.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent technical writing skills required; technical writing experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to handle extremely small electronic components required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks required.
  • Scanning Electron Microscopy / Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • X-Ray / CT Analysis experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong Soldering Skills are preferred.
  • Four-year technical degree required, engineering degree preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ISO-17025 is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and Solidworks is highly preferred.
