Job Description
Position Title: Sr. Director, Data & Analytics Sector Leader Location: North America and LATAM (Remote)
The Sr. Director, Data & Analytics Sector Leader is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, implementation, and management of the data analytics & engineering delivery across the industry sector. This position calls for a dynamic leader skilled at navigating complex organizational structures to foster growth and enhance client success. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of managing a multi-disciplinary analytics and engineering practice across an enterprise to drive technical maturity and align with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
· Market Analysis: Actively monitor, research, and analyze trends in the Data and Analytics sector. Identify and assess potential growth opportunities, conducting competitive assessments and risk evaluations.
· Strategy & Vision: Develop a comprehensive growth strategy specifically designed for the Data and Analytics segment, focusing on understanding client needs, market demands, and leveraging emerging technologies.
· Collaboration: Cultivate partnerships with the Go-to-Market team, Global Delivery teams, Product teams, and other stakeholders to design solutions that ensure client success and foster revenue growth.
Team Management
· Team Development: Recruit, build, mentor, and lead a high-performing multi-disciplinary analytics team across the operating region. Implement training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.
· Innovative Culture: Foster and champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Encourage and enable team members to pursue advanced certifications, participate in workshops, and explore new analytical tools and techniques. Work with Products team to innovate new capabilities and enhance existing client engagements.
· Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes to ensure the Data and Analytics team operates efficiently, meeting or exceeding business and financial objectives. Implement best practices for project management and iterative process improvements. Implement technology oriented operational improvements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of delivery.
· Client-Focused Performance: Develop metrics for team performance that prioritize client satisfaction and strategic partnership growth. Participate in feedback loop with clients to ensure services are aligned with their evolving needs.
Operational Leadership
· Policy Implementation: Design and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and systems to enhance organizational performance, mitigate risk, and drive profitability across the Data and Analytics landscape.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Engage and manage cross-functional teams to fulfill company objectives, ensuring clear communication and alignment between various departments.
· Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs, governance models, and analytics processes to track progress toward organizational goals, regularly reviewing and adjusting strategies to optimize results.
· Capability Expansion: Drive the growth of capabilities encompassing people, processes, and technology within the analytics function. Identify gaps in skills and resources, recommending improvements or investments as necessary.
Internal & External Stakeholder Engagement
· Primary Liaison: Serve as the primary leader and key point of contact for Data and Analytics within the industry sector, ensuring effective communication of organizational objectives, strategies, and performance.
· Sector Acumen: Engage proactively with industry experts to understand and inform D&A solutions based on industry trends and strategic engagements.
· Relationship Building: Develop and nurture positive professional relationships across a variety of stakeholders and teams, enabling collaboration that underpins client success and drives commercial growth.
· Client Engagement: Engage proactively with client stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and concerns, while delivering solutions and securing long-term partnerships focused on industry trends and strategic engagements.
Financial Management
· Financial Accountability: Assure responsibility for revenue and expenses pertaining to the Data & Analytics business, driving profitability and adherence to financial targets.
· Resource Allocation: Allocate resources strategically within the analytics function to maximize impact, ensuring optimum outcomes through careful prioritization of spending and investment decisions.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· Experience: Proven expertise (10+ years) in data analytics, data engineering, data management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on industry strategy.
· Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of data engineering frameworks, data management technologies, and analytical methodologies, including familiarity with cloud technologies and machine learning applications.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Leadership Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading large, cross-functional teams in multi-disciplinary Data Engineering and Analytics projects.
