Dermalogica’s Research & Development department is looking for a bright, talented individual who is looking for an exciting opportunity as part of the Regulatory team at an exciting time of growth and expansion of the Brand.

TheRegulatory Affairs Specialistwill support R&D and Regulatory on science-driven innovative product launches, as well as expansion of the Brand to new markets, playing a vital role in reviewing formulations, ingredients, and artwork for global compliance, managing protocol development and implementation of clinical testing, as well as overseeing support for existing products in the areas of regulatory compliance evaluation, documentation, sampling, and testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review regulatory compliance for formulas and ingredients for all countries of interest.

  • Conduct artwork review for labeling compliance in intended markets

  • Ensure regulatory documentation is complete, up-to-date and properly entered in specialized R&D software program

  • Develop Clinical Trial Protocols to adequately substantiate desired claims. Manage studies closely with CRO, review data, and provide the business with Clinical Summary.

  • Initiate, manage and oversee completion of internal and external product testing (eg PET, HRIPT, EpiO, in-vitro irritection, heavy metals, gluten, ophthalmology, SPF methods)

  • Establishing working relationships with external testing labs and raw material suppliers

  • Attend technical regulatory seminars to stay up to date on global compliance

    Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the Sciences or equivalent

  • 2-3 years experience working in the regulatory function, preferably in a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food environment

  • Familiar with regulation and laboratory environment

  • Familiar in Cosmetic/OTC raw material safety and regulations

  • PC literate in Word and Excel
