As an Associate Manager/Operations Manager you will have the opportunity to inspire, lead and mentor diverse teams across our Springhill site in Cork. We expect to win as a team by doing things the right way and challenging each other to strive for the very best.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Leads Operations business unit.

  • Leads Daily management system for Business Unit

  • Manages all manufacturing resources and operations within a regulated environment to promote Quality, Customer Service, Cost Culture, People Development and Operational Excellence.

  • Analyses productivity, absorption and performance data and implements system improvements as required, to ensure we achieve BU cost targets.

  • Ensures awareness and compliance with all regulatory and compliance requirements (FDA, ISO, EH&S, etc.). Maintains and improves GMP standards and adherence to the Quality Management System.

  • Drives accountability and a high performing business that consistently delivers the Business Unit KPIs.

  • Agrees and drives operational excellence by setting clear direction and expectations for performance.

  • Establishes and measures performance targets with respect to Product Quality, Customer Service, spending, labour efficiency and yield against targets. Take appropriate and proactive corrective action when required.

  • Champions a highly talented Value Stream team and creates a positive employee environment by promoting trust, collaboration and open communication with the Business Unit.

  • Promotes a culture of inclusiveness, cooperation and a commitment to teamwork.

  • Sets up and leads KPI review and decision-making forums

  • Ensure the development of supervisors and production team members.

  • Provide leadership direction to team on process improvements, address obstacles, provide resources and interact with other areas of the company to assist team in overcoming problems and streamlining the work process as part of a structured continuous improvement program.

  • Prepare and deliver annual budgets (headcount, expense and capital), manage cost and ensure P&L performance is optimised.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all new products and processes are introduced into production in compliance, on time, within budget and are operationally successful.

  • Maintain & improve health & safety systems

Qualifications Knowledge Skills

  • Degree or Masters in Business, Production Management, Engineering or similar Discipline

  • 7 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 4 -6 years minimum Supervisor experience.

  • Manages a number of Operations Supervisors. May have indirect staff reporting to the position.

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of a production environment to the completion of complex assignments.

  • Strong skills in data analytics, building of report and visual management

  • Proven track record and genuine interest in successfully creating and managing a highly talented, engaged and performing team

  • Business acumen with an ability to effectively manage Business Unit Financials.

  • Demonstrates developing technical leadership skills inter-departmentally.

  • Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety.

  • Ability to drive and promote business unit engagement and people development.

  • Ability to coach, provide effective feedback and manage performance.

  • Effective decision making skills with ability to implement effective plans to optimise performance and address challenges.

  • Excellent Influencing and communication skills across all departments and in matrix structure
