Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge? Join our team and take on a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting our printing, labeling, box forming, slitting, and other converting machinery. You'll also be responsible for welding, machining, and fabricating parts for older equipment, using blueprints and technical drawings to guide your repairs. Additionally, you'll create and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and order parts from vendors as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on printing, labeling, box forming, slitting, and other converting machinery.
Weld, machine, and fabricate parts for older equipment.
Utilize blueprints and technical drawings to aid in repairs.
Create and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.
Order parts from vendors as needed.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Complete building repair needs, including trash and bathroom repairs.

Work Environment
Facility: Standard print shop with continuous web feed presses in Carpentersville, IL
Team: About 50 employees across two shifts.
Shifts: 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm), and potentially a mid-shift (10am - 7:30pm). Training provided on the 1st Shift before moving to the designated shift.
