Overview
Industrial Painter
Complete work orders for interior & exterior painting, using brushes, spray gun or rollers
Prepare surfaces for painting, including but not limited to removing old paint, smoothing surfaces and filling nail holes, cracks & joints
Prepare area for painting, such as moving or covering furniture/fixtures, taping and laying down drop cloths
Inventory paint equipment and supplies
Store paint and related chemicals in accordance with company safety policies
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Provide superior customer service
Consistently practice and maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with residents, retailers and fellow employees
Position Requirements:
Must demonstrate knowledge of painting techniques and methods
Industrial Painters clean up the area after they have finished a job. They must carefully follow all guidelines for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste
Painters use a variety of techniques and tools to paint surfaces. They may use spray equipment, airbrushes, stencils, rollers or brushes. Industrial painters must choose the best tool for the job at hand. They paint on primers, pre-finishes and finishing coats. Some Industrial Painters must use special safety equipment such as self-contained suits or protective eyewear

Experience wet painting using a paint gun
Ability to differentiate between colors
Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment
Ability to work with all levels of employees
Strong communication skills
Five (5) years of related work experience
High School diploma, GED or equivalent (College is a plus)
Abilities
Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
