Amergis House Administrator - Community Crisis Home (Youth) in Carmichael, California

Job Summary:

The Administrator ensures regulatory compliance, client health, safety, and well-being, and manages staffing to provide high-quality care. They also train and mentor direct support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with conservators, families, and client representatives about client well-being.

  • Hire, train, and schedule staff to ensure adequate client support.

  • Oversee daily operations, including documentation, audits, and maintenance of client and staff files.

  • Attend mandated trainings and ensure safety compliance.

  • Manage resident care, including medical appointments and follow-ups.

  • Act as first responder in emergencies and provide 24-hour on-call support.

  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Group Home Certification for children.

  • DSP I and DSP II certificates.

  • CPR/FA and CPI certification.

  • 3 years of experience with clients with developmental disabilities.

  • 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
