Ascension Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) - PRN - Days or Nights - St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in Carmel, Indiana

We Are Hiring

St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, 13500 North Meridian, Carmel, IN.

PRN - 2 shifts in a 6 week scheduling period. No weekend or holiday commitment.

Two years of RN ED experience preferred for this 17 bed ED.

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

As our ED Registered Nurse, you are quick to react and work to solve the medical problem immediately. You will treat patients in emergency situations when they’re experiencing trauma or injury. You will treat a wide range of patients and ages and be a part of a great team. We have a 17 bed Emergency Department.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Additional Preferences

Two years of RN ED(ER) experience preferred.
