ABCO Systems, LLC. Traveling Site Supervisor in Carlstadt, New Jersey
The Traveling Site Supervisor will oversee the work operation on a site, ensuring the efficiency of workflow and safety of the workforce. The tasks of a site supervisor primarily revolve around conducting inspections and assessing risks, managing and evaluating workers, and coordinating with site foreman and suppliers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Inspecting sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of the team.
• Lead and participate in all onsite meetings with customers, vendors, partners, and installation teams.
• Analyzing blueprints and install drawings to ensure that projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
• Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and daily supervision of the maintenance programs, processes, people, and documentation associated with efficient and high performing automated storage and retrieval systems, and storage and picking systems installed at our client’s locations.
• Building and maintaining customer relationships at our client sites.
• Manage site budgets and associated commercial activities.
• Oversee all system improvements and installations.
• Train, mentor and develop on-site staff.
• Act as a liaison in communicating inquiries and resolutions between the client, partners, vendors, and staff.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• OSHA certification required.
• Must be familiar with ASRS technology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Must be able to travel and be on-site between 6-10 months during the installation.
Education and Experience:
• Degree in Business Management, Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
• At least five years of experience required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
