Sr Manager, Finance

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is in search of a Senior Finance Manager who can provide strategic guidance to our Protein and Cellular Analysis Business Unit in Carlsbad. This role involves managing financial operations, supervising a team, and working collaboratively with colleagues from across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the MBR/QBR/STRAP and AOP processes for the Protein and Cellular Analysis Business Unit.

  • Lead full P&L forecasting and analysis, providing critical insights and recommendations.

  • Manage and mentor two team members, creating a collaborative and supportive work environment.

  • Facilitate the functional alignment process among different teams, such as Sales, R&D, and Marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Equivalent experience in the field is considered equally valuable in addition to an advanced degree or certification (MBA, CFA, CPA).

  • Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within a similar industry.

  • Strong analytical skills and a meticulous, process-oriented approach.

  • Demonstrated capability in effectively leading teams and promoting alignment among various groups involved.

  • Intellectual curiosity, with a passion for understanding and solving complex business problems.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$205,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
