Job Description

Splash Landing Pools and water play area is located next to the Family pool. Splash Café, offers poolside food, cocktails and sweet treats. As a Splash Server you will provide superior food and beverage service to Resort guests at our pools in a relaxed and friendly, outdoor atmosphere.

*This is a seasonal position with an anticipated start date of May 15, 2024, and an end date of September 15, 2024.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Report for scheduled shifts on time and in the proper uniform.

  • Maintain a professional, neat, well-groomed appearance.

  • Greet guests with a welcoming demeanor and provide a personalized service experience by following all Omni’s “Steps of Service” protocols as detailed by management.

  • Script food sales and be knowledgeable about menu items, including specials, cocktails, and wine.

  • Sell and up-sell items to increase per person check average.

  • Responsible for knowing all pool zones and cabana numbers.

  • Serve alcohol responsibly and follow company policy and procedure regarding alcohol

  • Take the guests’ order, serve the courses accordingly, and promptly tender payment of the check. Always say thank you to guests as they leave and invite them back using the guest’s name.

  • Responsible for running food, drinks, and condiments and tending to other guest requests.

  • Clear lounge chairs and tables of non-essential plates, silverware, cups, and pool towels during every course throughout the guest meal. Bring dirty plates and glassware to side stations or return to the bar appropriately.

  • Utilize the point-of-sale system and run all necessary reports. Tender all checks opened in your number and follow end-of-shift balancing and check procedures.

  • Work as a team with all Associates to maintain an effective, positive atmosphere to run an efficient food and beverage service.

  • Be attentive and proactive in offering assistance to members and guests.

  • Assist in enforcing guest-related pool policies and standards.

  • Work safely and follow all Omni Safety and Loss Prevention standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a food server highly preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have great communication skills – the ability to engage with guests professionally, appropriately and courteously.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holiday s.

    NECESSARY LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS

  • RBS Certification will be required prior to the start of employment.

  • Must complete CA Food Handler’s Card training provided upon hire.

    Pay Rate: $16.00/hr + tips
