Summary: Persons employed in this position are responsible for, but not limited to, performing manufacturing planning activities in the Production Planning function of customer demand fulfillment in order to ensure total customer satisfaction within required timeline, quality standards, and total cost constraints.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule department / area production based on MRP outputs, triggered by product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources and volume required to meet customer demand and ensure maximum production quantity and quality.

  • Schedules activities of manufacturing and/or production operations, including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging.

  • Check availability of inventory prior to firming / releasing work orders using system queries and reports.

  • Provide lead times to the Customer Service team regarding DuPont Promise Date for customer demand fulfillment.

  • Effectively manage inventory levels to meet customer demands or requests

  • Develop, improve, and monitor reporting processes & systems to control the supply chain functions.

  • Collaborate with Materials Management team to optimize supply chain and logistics solutions in order to maximize On Time Delivery to Customer request and promise dates, while minimizing inventory investment.

  • Make recommendations to management regarding improvements in the manufacturing and supply chain processes to better enable the company to be efficient, effective, and improve delivery performance to customers.

  • Adheres to DuPont quality and safety systems / safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous demonstrated experience in production/materials planning/MRP required, QAD preferred.

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral / interpersonal.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions (P/D/C/A).

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows programs, emphasis on Excel.

  • Understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems

  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • BS or BA from accredited 4-year college preferred but not required.

  • 2 years of scheduling & planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

The Pay range for this role is $53,900.00 - $84,700.00 Annual

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate. Each individual’s pay is based on a variety of factors, including their role and the associated pay range for that role, their geographic location (i.e., country, state, metropolitan area), as well as their skills, experience, education and certifications, and performance.
