Grade School English/Math Tutor - Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego Description of the role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grade School Level English/Math Tutor to join our team at Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing personalized and engaging one-on-one instruction to students in grade school level English and Math subjects. Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality tutoring services to students in English and Math. * Use the student's quizzes, tests and homework to determine areas of specific tutoring help. * Provide encouragement to build the student's confidence in their work * Provide clear explanations and examples to help students understand challenging concepts. * Assist students with homework assignments and reinforce learning outside of the classroom. Help them prep for quizzes and tests. * Motivate and inspire students to develop a love for learning and improve their academic performance. * Set up systems to improve study skills, time management and other executive functioning skills. Requirements: * A minimum of 2 years toward a bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred * Strong knowledge and understanding of grade school level English and Math concepts. * Prior experience working with grade school students in a tutoring or teaching role. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Patient, compassionate, and able to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student. Compensation: The compensation for this role is $23 - $30 per hour. Job Location: N.
