How you will make an impact:

The Life Sciences and Laboratory Products Group (LSLPG) drives $8B+ yearly revenue through a diverse set of businesses operating in a broad breadth of market segments. We continue to grow our functional support to enable these businesses as we aim to become a FP&A center of excellence. The team is known as knowledge leaders throughout the FP&A organization, and this is your chance to join us!

This dynamic Financial Analyst III will be based in Carlsbad, CA and support the LSLPG FP&A management reporting team, driving the key operating mechanisms such as forecasting, reporting and long-term planning. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of FP&A, they will become part of a team focused on continuous improvement and process excellence. This is a high visibility role within the company, allowing you tremendous opportunity for learning and long-term career growth. We are striving to become a center of excellence for the broader finance community, by focusing on automation and continuous improvement while providing valuable reporting insights to the VP of our group. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong financial background that enjoys high visibility, in depth analytics, and proactive process planning. We are a fast paced, robust team looking for an addition that will help us continue to drive the Finance function forward.

What you will do:

  • Support the Group leadership team to set and deliver the annual, long range, and quarterly business plans

  • Develop and coordinate the core operating mechanisms, including the AOP, QBR/MBRs, and forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team and division counterparts

  • Manage the FX forecasting process for multiple businesses

  • Continuously drive operational improvements (PPI) in our internal processes

  • Use systems/tools to automate reporting where applicable

  • Apply data analytics and visualization tools to enhance our current reporting

  • Partner with management teams and advisors on ad hoc requests and projects

How you will get here:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject area.

Experience

2+ years of experience in Finance related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Advanced MS Excel Skills

  • Proficiency with high volume data reporting and visualization tools such as Hyperion Planning, Smartview, Tableau, Power BI, Powerpoint or other similar systems.

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and presentation skills.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • High learning agility and desire for continuous learning.

  • Able to work independently and willing to work extra hours during the financial calendar.

Salary Range: $83-111k

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$111,100.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
