Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description
Candidates will be working in a welding/fabrication shop building flatbed trailers from prints. They will be performing MIG welding and some solid core welding, with the steel being mostly high-strength steel, some stainless steel, and occasional TIG welding on aluminum. Candidates will be responsible for taking blueprints and fabricating and welding raw materials together, performing out-of-position welding in tight spaces, and using plasma cutters, laser cutters, material handler equipment, and cranes to move products. The role requires experienced welders/fabricators on the second shift.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding and some solid core welding.
Fabricate and weld raw materials together based on blueprints.
Perform out-of-position welding in tight spaces.
Utilize plasma cutters, laser cutters, material handler equipment, and cranes to move products.
Exhibit proficiency with vertical welding and improve welding proficiency with minimal errors.
Interpret and fabricate projects from blueprints.
Understand and properly utilize pre-heating procedures and processes.
Exhibit an understanding of metallurgy.
Perform other business-related duties as required and assigned.
Essential Skills
At least 3 years of MIG/flux core welding experience.
Fabrication experience.
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures.
Mechanical aptitude.
Pay: $22-$28- 2nd shift 4 10's
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $28.50
