Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Responsible for maintenance within a distribution center. The Maintenance Mechanic II will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery in the warehouse, including both mechanical and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery in the warehouse

  • Conduct reactive maintenance as needed

  • Repair and maintain conveyors, wire contactors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs (RS logix 5000) by checking inputs and outputs and diagnosing through LED indicators

  • Collaborate with Control Tech for heavy PLC items

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Work with CMMS systems for work order management

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution center setting

  • Electrical repair and troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of PLCs to check inputs and outputs

  • Ability to troubleshoot motor starters and analog flag sensors

  • Mechanical repair skills

  • Computer proficiency, especially in RS logix and maintenance systems

  • Experience with 480/24 Volt systems

  • Strong team orientation and attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certification or associate degree from a technical school in maintenance or related field

  • Advanced PLC troubleshooting skills and experience with RS Logix

  • Leadership qualities

Work Environment

The role is within a large distribution warehouse with extensive conveyor systems. Maintenance teams are divided into three categories: Mechanic I, Mechanic II (the current hiring focus), and Controls Tech. Candidates may be required to train on 1st shift (Monday-Friday) for 2-5 weeks. All tools and personal protective equipment are provided, and candidates should not bring their own. Shifts available include 2nd shift (Wednesday-Saturday 3:00pm-1:00am) with a $2 shift differential and 3rd shift with a $3 shift differential.

This is a Permanent position based out of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $76960.00/yr.
